I has a Shrinky Dink Practice by forgotten-light I has a Shrinky Dink Practice by forgotten-light

OTL I knew I needed to practice some more. Colors why you fail me?

So besides having a steady hand and being patient the hardest part of these shrinky dinks are figuring out the right colors to use. Once I get it all sorted out I won't have problems anymore, but until then I will keep ending up with these funky colors.

How: I trace the original picture and color it with permanent markers, then bake it. The colors look different when they are shrunk and the colors on the pen caps aren't much help. Those blues turned out nothing like I was expecting.

To test out the colors you have on the shrinky dinks, you can use the leftover shrinky dinks and color on them with your markers. You then dry them to see the outcomes and tape the results onto the marker caps or make a chart.

^^; yeah the first thing I did after this was test all the colors and shrinky dink them. I had tested some of my colors, then forgot to test the new colors I just got. Some of the colors turn out really weird after shrinking and baking :XD:

Oh, I see what you did thar. :0 You know, the shrinky dink you can print on tends to work better than doing everything by hand. The stuff you print on is white, not clear, but you just put some colorful fingernail polish or glitter or whatever on the back to decorate it. I never tried the by hand shrinky dink, too much time and too hard to get right.

I don't have a working printer right now :/ I saw the printer shrinky dink paper online when I ordered this stuff, but I have fun doing them by hand too :D
